WEEKLY MONSTER

I objectively think that AI is going to ruin the internet and be the worst “extension of man¹” we’ve invented yet, dethroning social media.

But also…

I was playing a game with my daughter making up pretend animals. She threw out “chicken mole rat” which is absolutely the best possible answer. But I needed more information. Was it a naked mole rat with chicken feet? A chicken with bald, wrinkly skin? No, I was told that it is definitely a mole rat with a chicken head.

And you know what? Now I needed a photo.

And a photo I got.

I can’t wait to show her. Hopefully the image doesn’t give her nightmares.

Is AI good for humanity? Absolutely not. But can AI be used to create joy (and/or absurd terror)? Absolutely.
